A new documentary is set to examine the case of Marisela Escobedo Ortiz, a mother whose tireless mission to bring her daughter's killer to justice ended with her own murder.

The Three Deaths of Marisela Escobedo, hitting Netflix on 14th October, tells the story of the mother from Mexico, who refused to let her daughter's death be just another statistic. In 2008, Marisela's 16-year-old daughter Rubi Frayre went missing and one year later her remains were found burnt and dismembered in a trash bin in Ciudad Juárez, across from El Paso, Texas.
